ANALYSIS: U.S. Shrimp Imports in June Mark 12-Month Decline
U.S. shrimp imports fell steeper than expected in data released Tuesday. This is the twelfth straight month of declines, helping trim positions after record years. June 2023 imports were 136.278 million pounds, or nearly 20 percent below last year’s 169.422 million pounds. The year-to-date figure is now down almost 18 percent at 794.601 million pounds.
