JAPAN: August Frozen Surimi Production in Hokkaido Falls to 178 tons
According to a report compiled by the National Surimi Manufacturers Association, frozen surimi production in Hokkaido in August fell to 178 tons, a 58% decrease from a year ago due to a slump in the pollock fishery. It has been a year-on-year decrease for 12 consecutive months, reported Minato Shimbun.
