Japan: November Fresh Atlantic Bluefin Imports Increased by 6.5% in Value
According to the Ministry of Finance's import customs statistics, although the rate of decline in the volume of marine products airlifted in November improved slightly, the volume remained unchanged at 90% from the previous year. Despite the strong yen depreciation, the mainstay product, tuna, has improved. Crustaceans and shellfish have also performed well, albeit to a lesser extent, according to the Suisan Keizai Shimbun.
