Russian Opposition to Foreign Control Sinks Hung Vuong Bid for the Russian Fish Company

A Vietnamese investor failed to gain control over Russia’s largest fish distributor when the company was suddenly sold in a management buyout, backed by some of Russia's biggest fish tycoons, all with close ties to the state.
Hung Vuong, one of Vietnam’s largest fish processors has failed in its attempts to gain a control over the Russian Fish Company (RFC), one of Russia’s largest fish distributors, which, to date, was part of Russian aquaculture enterprise.
Several days ago RFC was officially sold to the co-owners of Russian aquaculture, among which are Dmitry Dangauer, Dmitry Kotsyubinsky as well as Sergey Darkin, (the ex-governor of Primorye region, which has become one of the largest fish tycoons in the Russian market in recent years) for 1.8 billion rubles (US$35 million)...
