US Soybean Export Council Helps Colombian Fish Farmers Earn BAP Certification

The US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) and Colombia’s Aquaculture Federation (FEDEACUA) helped train small-scale tilapia and trout farmers to earn certification under the Global Aquaculture Alliance’ s Best Aquaculture Practices program.
Jairo Amezquita, aquaculture consultant of the Americas region for U.S. Soybean Export Council, presented fish farmers with a BAP certification last week. He helped orchestrate the training program with the USSEC and the FEDEACUA earlier this year to train the farmers to qualify for certification.
