Clean Seas Gets $10,000 Grant to Improve Feed Ratios for its Farmed Yellowtail Kingfish

The Sydney Fish Market is celebrating World Fisheries Day by awarding a $10,000 environmental grant to Clean Seas Tuna.
Clean Sea is Australia’s first commercial sustainable producer of Yellowtail Kingfish. The company said it will use the grant to help a fund a trial program that involves testing their current commercial Yellowtail Kingfish diets against those containing fish by-product meal and land based protein substitutes as
alternatives. The company wants to work towards reducing its reliance on fish meal and increase its feed efficiencies.
“It’s a great honour to receive the environmental grant from Sydney Fish Market and we endorse their support for improving environmental sustainability in the seafood sector.
