Icelandic Sells Off Fresh Cod Producing, Exporting Subsidiary Ný-Fiskur to Nesfiskur

Icelandic Group announced an agreement to sell its fresh cod producing and exporting subsidiary Ný-Fiskur to Nesfiskur ehf.
According to the deal, Icelandic will transfer all ownership of Ný-Fiskur’s operations to Nesfiskur. However, Icelandic will retain ownership of its “Iceland Seafood” brand.
Ný-Fiskur is one of Icelandic’s four subsidiaries. The operation, which is based in Sandgerði, specializes in the production and sale of fresh seafood products and processing about 6,000 metric tons of raw material annually.
