Russian Crab Importer Direct Source Raises $45 Million Credit Line, Absorbs Sister Company

Russian king crab importer Direct Source Seafood has increased its working capital credit facility to $45 million, in an agreement with Everbank, which has operations in Florida, Seattle, and the Northeast.

In an announcement prior to the Boston Seafood Show, Direct Source says it has absorbed the operations of its sister company Marine Treasures (MYI), beginning at the first of this year.   MTI was previously one of the largest importers, processors and wholesalers of king and snow crab. DSS, a major importer and wholesaler of shrimp and crab, saw an opportunity to expand its business...
