Florida's Spiny Lobster Season to Close on April 1

Florida’s spiny lobster season will close this weekend on Saturday April 1 and reports say the season started strong in September but production was hurt from a hurricane in October and a mild winter.
As of April 1 there will no spiny lobster harvesting until the summer. There will be a two-day recreational sport season in July. Then, the spiny lobster season will officially reopen August 6th.
In October, Hurricane Matthew battered the Florida coast. The storm stirred up the waters in the Florida Keys and moved traps. A report in early March said it took the industry a full month to rebound from the story...
