Some Chilean Salmon Shipments Delayed as Customs Strike Enters Ninth Day

Chilean Customs workers reported some progress in meetings with federal officials today to end a country-wide strike now in its ninth day. Salmon traders say the extended strike is delaying shipments from Santiago.
Representatives of the Association of Customs Officials (Anfach) were hopeful after meetings were held today but still no agreement to end the strike was met.
According to Anfach, the two-part labor agreement the union signed with federal officials in May 2015 last November is supposed to provide Customs workers with more personnel...
