FFAW wins Higher Summer Shrimp Price as Panel Sets $1.25 per Lb. as Benchmark

The FFAW said they won the price panel decision on summer inshore shrimp prices. On Wednesday, the Standing Fish Price Panel released its decision on shrimp prices and it chose the FFAW price of $1.25 per pound.
In the April, the price panel chose the Processor offer of $.95 per lb., however due to ice and the harvester preference for crab fishing, very little inshore shrimp has been harvested at that price.
The Panel had the choice between the FFAW position and ASP’s position of $1.04.
