The fishing volumes of seafood have been diminishing within the past few years in China's adjacent seas, said Tian Quanhai, the president for China Aquatic Production Chamber of Commerce, mostly due to material shortage and fishing off seasons. Farmed seafood and the imported ones are necessary to fill the gap, which in turn raises the demand for frozen seafood as well as their prices.
