WPFMC Pushes Back Against Congressional Allegations of Lobbying, Procedural Problems

Rep. Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan, D-Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, during a recent Magnuson-Stevens Act reauthorization hearing before the Water, Power and Oceans Subcommittee, took issue with the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council's activities. Sablan requested an investigation into the Council's lobbying activities, financial conflicts of interest and voting records, among other issues.
