Atlantic, Quebec Indigenous Groups Partner With Ocean Choice International for Arctic Surf Clam Bid

The Innu of Quebec, the Mi’gmaq of New Brunswick and the Southern Inuit of Labrador have partnered with Ocean Choice International (OCI) to pursue the Arctic Surf Clam quota, the group announced earlier this month. The pan-Atlantic Indigenous partnership submitted their proposal to Fisheries and Oceans Canada on November 2, with OCI agreeing to be the main commercial partner.
