Last year was terrible for frozen Mahi from Central and South America. As a result Asian producers ramped up production, and their volume into the US surpassed Latin American producers for the first time.
This situation appears about to change. With January’s imports on track for a record year for Latin America frozen Mahi in 2017-18 season, the supply will improve.
