Pollock roe processing cooperative in Hokkaido declared bankrupt, causing enormous economic impact

Furubira, a fishery town on the eastern coast of the Shakotan Peninsula in western Hokkaido, is now being rocked by the unrest over joblessness.
It was learned that the Sapporo District Court ordered to Furubira Town Fishery Processing Cooperative on April 10 to start the process for bankruptcy.
The cooperative’s business dead end came to light in February this year.
