Shrimp production in Thailand envisioned to recover 37% thanks to countermeasures against EMS

Shrimp farming in Thailand, which has been undergoing heavy damage by an expanding disease, is expected to recover from the latter half of this year.
The Thai fisheries administration forecasts that production of farmed shrimp in 2014 will increase 37% over the previous year to around 400,000 tons, with exports also improving gradually, according to the Bangkok Post and other local media.
