Price hikes and customers’ selection of more expensive menu items helped the Dallas-based parent of Chili’s Grill & Bar overcome a dip in customer traffic during its third quarter.
Brinker International said early Wednesday its same-store sales, a key chain measure, gained 0.7 percent in the quarter that ended March 26 despite a drop in customer traffic of about 1 percent each at Chili’s and Maggiano’s Little Italy.
