Oregon officials lift coastwide commercial mussel harvesting ban finding PSP risk has dropped

The Oregon Department of Agriculture and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife are reopening the entire Oregon Coast to recreational and commercial mussel harvesting. Shellfish samples taken along the coast indicate levels of paralytic shellfish toxins (PSTs) have dropped below the alert level.
With the reopening, the entire Oregon Coast is now open to all recreational and commercial shellfish harvesting with the exception of the Clatsop beaches, which are closed to all razor clam harvesting until Sept. 30 for conservation purposes.
