EPA extends Pebble Mine review period to Feb for more time to look over 155,000 comments recieved

Faced with thousands of comments received on a proposed determination to act under the Clean Water Act regarding the Pebble mine, the U.S. Environmental Protection agency has extended until Feb. 4 the deadline on further action.
The public comment period for EPA's proposed determination under the Clean Water Act ends at midnight tonight, Sept. 19, and over 155,000 comments have already been received on the matter of whether to initiate actions that could stop development of the mine.
The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association is urging all in the industry who support protections for the Bay to make a comment before the deadline.
