Kroger leads the pack in customer oriented digital products

Kroger Co.'s digital strategy has succeeded largely because it has been able to tie it in directly to the supermarket giant's broader strategy.
Cincinnati-based Kroger, the nation's largest traditional supermarket operator, has been able to crank out 43 consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth.
It puts the customer at the forefront of every decision it makes.
So when Kroger started offering loads of digital products, such as coupons, offers and organized shopping lists, it had to make sure it was following the same strategy.
Kroger shoppers spend 43 percent more time using its mobile apps than other grocery stores' shoppers do and Kroger shoppers' digital use is skyrocketing. Visits to Kroger's mobile app shot up 330 percent in the past year.
