Chile Invests Over $1.8 million in Sardine, Anchovy Fisheries

CHILE - The Chilean government is planning to spend more than $1.8 million on scientific research for the health of sardine and anchovy fish stocks in the south central macro region of the country.
The initiative is being funded by the government via the Fisheries Research Fund (FIP) and comes after a recent report which showed that some of Chile's fish stocks were over-exploited or in a state of collapse.
