The Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) division has expanded its management team with the addition of industry veteran Peter Carpenter as BAP certification manager.
Carpenter will step into the role immediately. He comes to the BAP with more than 30 years of seafood experience, most recently with Aqua Star. As BAP certification manager, Carpenter will provide full customer service to BAP-certified facilities pursuing re-certification. He will lead the transition of the BAP certification management team from GAA’s Lynnwood, Washington, office to its Portsmouth, New Hampshire, office over the next few months.
“We are pleased to have Peter join our team of talented women and men at the GAA as we continue our advocacy for sustainable and responsible aquaculture,” said GAA Executive Director Wally Stevens. “His extensive experience in all aspects of the seafood industry will serve us well.”
