Local Reports Confirm Big Disease Problems with Chinese Shrimp Farming Areas Near Shanghai

According to Rudong’s white shrimp association on September 15, the local white shrimp aqauculture has been faced with tough situation at present and large farming areas have suffered from losses, which are more than 85% in total. So the association plans to invite experts from relevant universities and other institutions to investigate the reasons for this situation and come up with solutions to save the declining shrimp farming industry there.
Rudong has achieved success in its greenhouse shrimp aquaculture in 2010 and this has made contribution to Rudong’s high status in China’s shrimp farming industry as well as the rapid development of white shrimp aqaculture there.
