Latest USDA Purchase Request Calls for 7.6 Million Pounds of Alaska Pollock
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has invited offers to sell pollock products for use in the National School Lunch Program and other Federal Food and Nutrition Assistance Programs under Section 32.
The solicitation shows that the USDA wants to buy a total of 7,638,000 pounds of Alaska pollock products. It is eyeing 5,320,000 pounds of frozen Alaska pollock sticks, 912K pounds of frozen Alaska pollock nuggets and just over 1.4 million pounds of frozen Alaska pollock fillets.
