Chinese Shrimp Broodstock Companies Fill Gap Left by CP's Exit

With the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) no longer supplying shrimp broodstock to China, the nation’s shrimp seed companies are eager to grow their own broodstock and brand their products.
Guangdong Jinhaijiao announced a strategic cooperative plan with Grimaud Blue Genetics on October 23. Guangdong Jinhaijiao plans to sell shrimp broodstock and larvae from Blue Genetics.
Xuwen Haiyuan Aquaculture took delivery of this year’s fifth batch of broodstock from Shrimp Improvement Systems (SIS) in Miami in late November.
Global Group in Shenzhen also received a new batch of shrimp broodstock this November. This batch consists of 1,500 pairs of broodstocks from HY-G family and 1,000 pairs from HY-S family. The company will start...
