AquaChile Successfully Refinances Debt in Deal Led by Rabobank

Chilean salmon producer AquaChile has reached a refinancing agreement with its creditor banks that the company says will allow it to improve its productivity.

According to the deal, which was led by Rabobank, AquaChile will refinance $251 million of debt across eight banks. The agreement includes a $24.6 million amortization, which was paid on Thursday.  The final maturity of the deal is five years.

"The agreement we have reached allows the company to finance on more favorable terms and is a sign of confidence in AquaChile by our banks. We are happy because the terms and conditions allow us to focus on the business and continue with the efforts to increase efficiency and productivity so necessary today in the conditions facing the industry, "said the general manager of the largest Chilean salmon farmer , Agustín Ugalde...
