Restaurant Performance Index Falls 1.5% in April from Slow Sales, Traffic

Sales and restaurant traffic in restaurants across the US declined in April according to the latest Restaurant Performance Index (RPI) released by the National Restaurant Association.
The RPI stood at 100.3 in April, down 1.5 percent from a level of 101.8 in March. The NRA said the decline was the result of broad based drops in both the current situation and expectations indicators.
