Danish Fish Scandal Hints at illegal Quota Manipulations Going Back Years

A fish scandal brewing in Denmark suggests that the administration of fish quotas and licenses by the relevant ministry has been the site of illegal activity, and some referrals to the Danish police have been made.
An external review of fishing quotas by the National Audit Office produced a damaging criticism of the Ministry of Environment and Food, but also specified wrong doing in assigning quotas that went back as far as 2002, under 8 different ministers.
The Danish parliament has for years instructed the ministry not to allow extreme concentration in quota holders. However, that mandate has been violated, says the report.
The report, according to Danish News reports, says:
