Scottish Seafood Seller Convicted of Fraudulently Using Labels of Another Company to Sell Fish in EU

THE boss of a frozen fish firm fraudulently obtained more than £200,000 by using fake labels so he could sell his products abroad.
Sea-Pac owner Alistair Thompson, 70, arranged for the identification marks of Shetland Products Ltd and Fraserburgh Freezing and Cold Storage Ltd to be stuck on salmon products.
He knew the two firms met EU regulations on hygiene and that they were also approved to supply fish produce to Russia, Lithuania and Estonia.
Thompson, whose company has since gone into liquidation, admitted carrying out the £210,250 fraud...
