The science behind the decision to massively expand fish farming in Macquarie Harbour on Tasmania's west coast was wrong, the head of the state's Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has admitted.
The EPA has flagged almost halving the amount of salmon stocks in Macquarie Harbour to levels not seen for five years.
