Russia Expects Record Fish Harvests This Year; Salmon Growth Almost Doubles
Russia expects a record fish catch this year since the beginning of 1980s, according to recent statements of an official spokesman of the Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo).
According to deputy head of Rosrybolovstvo, Vasily Sokolov, the volume of catch this year will be more than 5 million tons – a record in the post-Soviet period and in the history of modern Russia.
