Russian Fish Company Touts Progress in Building its Fleet of Supertrawlers
The Russian Fish Company announced that the first sections of its first supertrawler, called megablocks (blocks of several hull units) are erected on the slipway at Tersan shipyard (Turkey). The major part of the hull units are at the final assembly stage. The vessel will be launched in August this year, commissioning is scheduled for 2020.
The super trawler constructed at Tersan is a first of a series of seven vessels, which Russian Fishery Company is going to build in 2020-2023. Construction of six vessels is conducted by Admiralty Shipyards (Russia) under the state investment quota program.
