The focus of Alaska’s salmon season is shifting from sockeye to pink as Bristol Bay winds down, reports Garrett Evridge in the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute’s weekly Salmon Harvest Update. Although the season improved significantly in the past four weeks, many areas of the state are behind historical averages.
