FDA Advises Restaurants, Retailers Not to Sell Certain Mussels From New Foundland, Canada
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising restaurants and food retailers not to serve or sell mussels from Allen’s Fisheries in Newfoundland, Canada, due to possible pathogen or biotoxin contamination.
The impacted mussels were harvested on February 7, 2024 from harvest area AQ # 15 Newfoundland and have a final harvest date of February 18, 2024.
