Steakholder Foods Gets First $220K SIIRD Grant Based on 3D-Printed Grouper Fillet
Israel-based Steakholder Foods, a pioneer in 3D-printed meat and fish technology, recently received $220,000 of a potential $1 million grant from the Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (SIIRD). The award was based on the success of their hybrid grouper — a product made up of Steakholder Foods' SHFish – White Fish™ plant-based raw material and cultivated grouper cells provided by Umami Bioworks and printed by Steakholder Foods' Drop Location in Space (DLS)™ printing technology.
