Cooke Drops Appeal to Restart Steelhead Operations in Puget Sound; Blames DNR Delays
In a statement released yesterday, Cooke Aquaculture Pacific said they have filed a motion with the Superior Court in Washington to dismiss its appeal against the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The appeal sought reinstatement of Cooke’s leases at Rich Passage and Hope Island steelhead trout fish farms in Puget Sound.
