Tug of war over Japanese crab prices in Newfoundland close to end as contract talks continue

Contract talks are continuing this week over the Japanese price for Newfoundland snow crab, with Japanese buyers resisting efforts to lock in high prices.
Over the weekend, we learned of one packer who made a 10 container contract with a Chinese buyer at $4.85 CIF (the price was $5.10 delivered China).
