Russia lowers export duties on pollock, other seafood items 30%

Russia will lower the export duty on several types of seafood and oils on September 1 of this year.
According to a government decree signed on July 25, 2014, the export duty on several types of fish - salmon, tilapia, halibut, eel, flounder, pollock, sole, haddock, saithe, whiting, herring, mackerel and others - will drop to 2.5% from the current 3.75% of the customs value.
The export duty for crab, shrimp, lobster tails and other types of seafood is falling to 5% from 7.5%.
