Russia plans to resume commercial catch of mackerel and sardines.
Due to the ban on the imports of fish from Western countries, Russia plans to resume commercial catch of mackerel and sardines in the Far East during the next several years, according to an official spokesman of Alexander Tkachev, Russia’s Minister of Agriculture.
This will be mainly due to a recent predictions of Russian scientists of a significant increase of the volume of mackerel and sardines stocks in the Far East by 2018.
