Today's lead item from Seafood News editor John Sackton reports that Bumble Bee Foods, the third largest tuna canner in the US, has pled guilty to price fixing yesterday in a Northern California District Court. The plea is the result of the government’s price fixing lawsuit that charged Bumble Bee and the other major tuna canners, Chicken of the Sea and Starkist, with colluding to fix prices of canned tuna at retail.
