Russian Fishery (RRPK) Aims to be World's Largest Pollock Producer With 7 New Trawlers, 2 Plants

Russian Fishery (RRPK) company plans to become the world leading producer of pollock in the coming years through a significant increase of its catch.
The company has recently signed contracts for the construction of seven large-capacity fish trawlers, that will be operated in the Russian Far East.
RRPK has already received investment quotas under these trawlers, which means the company will be able to start pollock fishing with the help of these ships immediately after their commissioning.
In addition, in October 2017 RRPK confirmed it plans to build two fish processing plants in order to receive additional investment quotas. The sites in Vladivostok and Murmansk with a maximum capacity of 160 tons of products per day will allow the RRPK to obtain the right to catch up to 50,000 tons of pollock, herring and cod.
