A joint effort between Tanzanian law enforcement agencies, Fish-i Africa and Sea Shepherd to patrol Tanzania waters has “significantly thwarted” illegal fishing in the area.
In early 2018 Sea Shepherd and the government of the United republic of Tanzania launched Operation Jodari, a campaign to tackle illegal, unregulated and unreported (IUU) fishing in the Western Indian Ocean region.
