Canned Tuna Price-Fixing Lawsuit Heads to Supreme Court With StarKist Petition
Starkist, one of the major seafood companies involved in a lengthy canned tuna price-fixing lawsuit, has filed a certiorari petition to the U.S. Supreme Court as the firm aims to decertify class certifications approved by an appellate court back in April.
Earlier this year, an appeals court ruled 9-2 that the judge correctly approved the class action, finding that the companies have overcharged all its customers.
