Storms Easing, More West Coast Areas Opening for Dungeness Crab
The staggered season openings for Dungeness crab continue as the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced this week a Feb. 6, opening for the northern part of the state.
The area, from Klipsan Beach to the U.S./Canada border and excluding special management zones, will open in February after negotiations with local tribes. A 73-hour gear pre-set period will begin at 8 a.m. on Feb. 3, ahead of the 9 a.m., Feb. 6, opening.
