NRA: “Potential Warning Sign” For Restaurants As Sales Trended Lower Towards End Of 2022
Restaurant total eating and drinking place sales have been on the rise since COVID restrictions were lifted. However, based on data for the close of 2022, the National Restaurant Association (NRA) says there is a “potential warning sign for diminished consumer activity in the months ahead.”
Preliminary data for December 2022 reveals that eating and drinking places registered total sales of $88.3 billion. This was down 0.9% from November’s volume of $89.2 billion.
