USCG Studies, Documents West Coast Vessel Traffic; Recommends New Fairways
The U.S. Coast Guard has completed a comprehensive study of vessel traffic patterns on the West Coast and designed fairways to support safer navigation.
The Final Pacific Coast Port Access Route Study (PAC-PARS) Report was published this week in the Federal Register. This is the first comprehensive evaluation of vessel traffic patterns that use Pacific coastal waters off California, Oregon, and Washington, the USCG said in a press release.
