Biden-Harris Administration Announces First Offshore Wind Lease Sale in Gulf of Mexico
The Department of Interior (DOI) announced it will hold the first offshore wind energy lease sale in the Gulf of Mexico, moving closer to the Biden-Harris administration’s plans to deploy 30 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind energy by 2030 and reach a carbon-free electricity sector by 2035.
