Norway Shares Satellite Program With Over 60 Countries to Stop Illegal Fishing Globally
Last week the Norwegian government announced that it will share AIS data from Norwegian satellites with all countries that have joined the Blue Justice Community (BJC). The information will be given to the countries free of charge, enabling them to analyse the data themselves and detect fisheries crime. It is the result of the Blue Justice Initiative, launched in 2019.
