ANALYSIS: Wild Salmon Week In Review: Week 30, July 21-27
Sockeye pricing fluctuated in week 30. The week began with a tighter supply, leading to higher prices, but as supply increased throughout the week, prices eased back to previous levels. Bristol Bay, the leading fishing district for sockeye, experienced lighter landings in weeks 26 and 28, typically the height of the run. However, the fishery has now returned to more typical levels as it winds down over the next few weeks.
